Initial documentation and consultations

The first step in the WordPress development process involves defining the objective of the website, which is crucial to ensuring the validity of the final result. We always start with this step, as it is crucial for all the following steps. Often, clients prepare a plan in which they present the most important features of their future website or even define its content, appearance, and the content of individual web pages.

It is important that parameters such as the target audience of the website, its update frequency, and the vision for its future growth are also defined in this stage. Therefore, our task in this phase is to gather all the necessary information from the client. We organize meetings and periodic consultations, resulting in the development of a site structure with the desired design and functionalities specific to your industry.

Content structure definition

Step 2 involves defining the website’s business model and preparing its content map. Together with the client, we decide how the content will be displayed and where key elements are located. We determine the hierarchy of the text and estimate the size of the main content elements.

At this stage, we develop a general concept for any multimedia content and determine the presentation format. We decide whether to include it as an attachment, embed it directly on the page, or explore options like having a discussion with the support department in video or text format.

Prototype

In this stage, we create a prototype for the visual and administrative aspects of the website, made in Figma or Adobe XD. The prototype is shared with the client, who can review it in real-time, and upon acceptance, we begin the implementation in the development environment on the server. Also, in this stage, the graphics needed for the development process are created using professional software such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.

Backend development

Backend development is the job of our programmers. The backend interacts with the database, manages the business structure, and generates all the views that the website user sees. Of course, since we are using WordPress, all the standard elements have already been implemented, but we still need to build a functional, cohesive mechanism tailored to each client. It is also possible that, at this stage, we may need to develop certain key functionalities specifically for your business.

Frontend development

Stage number 5 involves developing the visual elements that website visitors truly notice. In this stage, we customize the text, display of modules, media content, advanced functionalities, and the site’s appearance on different devices (such as smartphones) and in various web browsers.

Testing

To ensure the quality of web solutions, in addition to the stages involving direct communication with the client, information gathering, preparation, and prototyping implementation, we also have a testing stage. In this step, we not only test the correct functioning of the code and whether the site displays correctly on different browsers and devices. We also test the user experience on the site itself, as well as on its administration panel.

We carry out all tests, with our client providing final feedback on functionalities, design, and administration mode. As this is a pre-launch stage, we test all possible scenarios in the User-Software relationship to ensure that the product will perform ideally at any time.

Launch

After completing the testing phase and resolving all code or design errors, your project is ready to be launched. We will transfer the files and the site’s database to your server and make the final adjustments specific to a live website. Even though the project is completed, we will monitor its performance and behavior online after the launch. We will also collect user feedback for future versions of the website.
